Client: Marlborough Medical Clinic
The Marlborough Medical Clinic was designed with patient and employee comfort in mind, featuring large exam rooms and a bright reception area. Staff amenities include unique Doctors' stations, shower and locker area, kitchen and a large conference room suitable for training and consultations.
Working from detailed space and finish plans provided by S2 Architecture, Labbe-Leech Interiors Ltd. transformed a 3,600 sq. ft. former retail space into a state-of-the-art family medical centre. Technical aspects of this project included new under slab plumbing and electrical for multiple exam rooms, shower and reception areas. The project was completed on time and within the prescribed budget for the clinics grand opening in 2012.
In July of 2013, the clinic again engaged the services of Labbe-Leech to expand the facilities by almost 2,700 sq. ft. to facilitate the ever increasing demand of the services provided by the medical clinic. The expansion involved the tenant acquiring the adjacent retail space and introducing eight additional Examination Rooms, Doctors' offices as well as a Doctors' Charting Room which involved extensive electrical and mechanical modifications along with the required architectural development to deliver a first class expansion. Of course, all of this work was undertaken while the neighboring original clinic remained open and undisturbed.
